Raise Me Well

Raise me well oh father God
I come in tatters searching for you
No more running
No more false hood

Forgive me God
for I am not worthy
I live in sin
and lay in lies

Raise me well God
So I may live in your name
Enter me oh God
So I may emit your love

Strip me oh God
Of all desires for mortal impurity
Wash me oh God
So I my be rid of material obsession

Raise me well oh great God
So I may chase after you
Give me strength awesome God
To fight the obstacles thrown in my path

Let your love wash over me
And liberate me from sins chains
I have accepted you oh God
I am ready to grow

Rob Bell : Drops Like Stars

This is something that I need to do for the first time right now. Write a book review.

The Book by Rob Bell Drops Like Stars has proven within the first thirty five pages to one of the most fantastic books that I have ever read. Using the unusual and obscure stories that some would never think to look at in their wildest dreams he weaves a narration that starts to totally decimate the ideas our society uses to conform in day to day life.

Rob starts with the Jesus' parable of the lost son Luke 15: 11-32 and the story goes something like this...

"Jesus told a story about a man who had two sons. The story begins with the younger son asking for his share of the inheritance, which in first century Jewish culture was a deeply offensive request, the equivalent to saying, dad I wish you were dead" (Bell 10). If anyone has read the bible then they might remember this parable. What was noticed by Rob that is the story ends unresolved; "he said to him, son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But it was appropriate to be glad and celebrate, for this, your brother, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found again" (Luke 15:31-32).

This is the opening of a book which has captured a glimpse of what is wrong with society. "Jesus doesn't give the story the proper Hollywood ending we've all come to expect" (Bell 14-15). so why should people view the world has having that Hollywood ending that is so badly deserved sometimes. this is just the beginning of a book that captures the way that captures the fascination that everyone should have in Jesus.

the reader must find the rest out for themselves. I must refuse to tell the rest in fear of ruining the ideas that people should hear from the one who speaks them so well; Rob Bell.

A World wide Audience in Reverence of Jesus Birth

No story
No painting
No attainable item of material value
No thing
Has the capacity to grasp Jesus birth

A single bright star
High above the stable
Father God
Watching his holy sons birth
As mother Mary lays Jesus to bed
In straw... In loving silence

Three Kings in mortal reverence
Arrive with gifts
Incense, gold, and myrrh
From three great Kings
The respect for Gods son first comes

It is here the story of gods glory climax's
And revelation's will be the end

But through the middle at least Jesus story will survive
And Christmas will glorify a great creator and his son

Happy Birthday Jesus
I am fascinated by your glory
And I love you with the whole of my being.

Undeserved And Accepted

Sins forgiven and faults forgotten
eternal life has befun
Because I accept Jesus as my savior

I deserve nothing
Jesus gave me everything
God is after the heart of his children
And his children do so little to receive him
God gives us grace we don't deserve
Praise be in his name
As i raise my voice high
And cry God to the sky

I know longer fear the consequences of sin
For Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice
So that all that was is and has yet to come
Is already forgiven

I am undeserving but i accept

I Am Glad for God is After My Heart

By grace and love
I was saved by God
Through his people
I was set a path

having God in my heart
And Christ controlling my tongue
I shall live for God and praise his name

For love in the lord I stand
By the grace of God I walk
And out of joy I praise Jesus name

I gave myself to God
So I smile in content
At the knowledge that Jesus holds my heart

the Testament of Gods Power

It was God that gave me life
It was him that put me on this earth
And to him I shall one day return

The earth is a lonely place
Separated so far from God
A distance farther than the reaches of the universe
A distance that brings about skepticism

And yet the God of the world still reaches to us
As easily as the wind picks up the fallen leaf
We are picked up
We are set upon solid ground
We are loved and led by God

One day I will go to his kingdom
One day I will dine with Jesus
Whether that day come in life
Or on my dying day
And I will smile as the world passes me by
And I go to the better place

It was God that gave me my heart
And it was Jesus that died for my sins
He freed me from the chains of sins
And nothing can separate me from the one true God

He gave me a place on this world
He gave me a purpose to live
And I shall live for God and make that purpose a reality

Nothing on this world or any other shall separate me from his embrace
He has the unbreakable hold
And I am his
The testament of his power shall ring through the atmosphere
Like the church bells ringing
And that wondrous choir of angels voices
When the shout of his name comes from the lips of the believer
He shall be recognized as no Idol can be
And the people will fall at Jesus feet
Laying their crowns before him in awe of his presence
And the testament of his power shall be shown

he shall come again

The satisfaction
The happiness
All the laughter

In what successes we accomplish
The joy of something knew and complete takes over
We can walk as though we are on air
Knowing that another trial has passed
And we can look to something knew

Never do we anything alone
We belong to a wonderful and beautiful group
And the Group we belong to belongs to God

Through God we can do all things
And in Gods name we can live marvelous lives
To live as his children and to be his messengers
Gods children are who we are made to be
And some day the whole world will resound in the cry of Jesus name

So dance for Joy in the knowledge that one day he will return
Don't fear to speak your faith
the strength of the holy spirit is inside
Bring out the hymn inside of you
For the time to rejoice is now
Jesus Saves every day
And one day we will all go home with him

What do we Say other than Praise Your Name

God my amazing God
King of kings
Lord of lords
You are my ruler in this world
And the next

You are the God I doubted
You are the God who is changing hearts
And raising your children lovingly

I fear no more
And I will open my mouth to speak for you
Lifting my heart in your name
I am amongst your people now and forever

I shall have no fears with you in me
And I will let you lead the way
Because without you I am blind

No person survives alone
But in others we find you
And in you we find strength

I accept you and love you

Live, Love, and Learn

Two steps forward one step back
two young lovers
one all for less
we search, we try
we go for the top
we fall we cry

why do we pick ourselves up
when we fall
to live our lives out to the fullest
to pick ourselves back up
to learn what we can while we stand
our falls just postpone the knowledge that will one day come

we live by the rules our logic
and we love by the rules of our hearts
our spiritual being is the definition of what makes us whole
we cannot be ourselves on our own
we are defined by the people around us
molded and formed into a piece of art by the  people around us

we live to learn how to live properly
we love with our hearts
so we may learn to love unwaveringly
we learn to live love and try through our distractions

Solitude and Happiness

Such a quiet life
Secluded, alone;
However the life is worded
It is still solitude
It is still happiness

But only for some;
Those who enjoy the silence,
And see it as their world.
They are the ones who find happiness in that world

The search of the soul,
It’s different for everyone
Some enjoy hunting through the concrete jungle
Others enjoys fishing the boundless oceans
Still others enjoy traversing the lush green forests

But who is willing to make the attempt?
Who will make the effort?
To travel even one of these environments,
Let alone all three.
To find what is in their soul
From every realm and aspect

No; solitude may not equal happiness
But the two collide
To create understanding

If the people take being alone to heart,
And look to the mirror,
What will they see?
Themselves
Or strangers

The quiet may not come from the surroundings
And being alone may not come from inside
A new perspective is often needed,
An open mind could be required
To gain understanding of one’s self

The enlightenment of the mortal
Is the ability to find open doors;
And understand what is on the other side

Carry Me

So dependent
So in denial

We say we don’t rely on others
Yet who are we?
Who are we to say we’re on our own

Defenseless when alone
So lonely when on your own

To thrive
We must have company
To live
We must have family

No Truth!!!
Belongs to the statement
We are independent beings

A false and unreal statement
To say
I am alone

We work so hard
To make ourselves believe that
We work alone
When every day we come together

You say “oh shut up”!!!
To me

HA

A request of anger at the truth
Denial created by fear
And hate from the realization that we hold each other up

So I ask you
Please carry me
And I will happily carry you in return

We won’t survive unless we work together
So please,
PLEASE
Carry me
