the Testament of Gods Power

It was God that gave me life
It was him that put me on this earth
And to him I shall one day return

The earth is a lonely place
Separated so far from God
A distance farther than the reaches of the universe
A distance that brings about skepticism

And yet the God of the world still reaches to us
As easily as the wind picks up the fallen leaf
We are picked up
We are set upon solid ground
We are loved and led by God

One day I will go to his kingdom
One day I will dine with Jesus
Whether that day come in life
Or on my dying day
And I will smile as the world passes me by
And I go to the better place

It was God that gave me my heart
And it was Jesus that died for my sins
He freed me from the chains of sins
And nothing can separate me from the one true God

He gave me a place on this world
He gave me a purpose to live
And I shall live for God and make that purpose a reality

Nothing on this world or any other shall separate me from his embrace
He has the unbreakable hold
And I am his
The testament of his power shall ring through the atmosphere
Like the church bells ringing
And that wondrous choir of angels voices
When the shout of his name comes from the lips of the believer
He shall be recognized as no Idol can be
And the people will fall at Jesus feet
Laying their crowns before him in awe of his presence
And the testament of his power shall be shown

Very moving. This is not only "the Testament of Gods Power" but the testament of the author's belief.

Well said!

Hi. This is my first visit to your blog. (Popped over from the Unkowngnome)

This poem, particularly the line "He has the unbreakable hold" is just the reminder I needed.

When God gives me a task to big for me, I'm daunted and afraid that I'll mess up. This line reminded me that it's not about that.

Thanks :)
