The day shall come when Christ returns
the book says prepare now, earn your favor in Gods great sight
or fear the retribution which awaits unfaithful fools
To claim you have seen truth
spat from the lips of men unfaithful to Gods glory
gives you cause to fear the wrath from blind arrogance and sin
when in the end of day's all men, women, and children, in God's image are judged
the ones in holy sincerity shall join the Lord's table instantaneously
while the damned shall fall into chaos of their own making
No forgiveness is granted to those who claim belief with hearts lacking resolution to repent and save
damned are those who claim faith in the creator they would readily shun if not for petty selfishness
Until such a time when an individual can break down the walls of a human heart
when nothing is left but revelry and devotion to envelope the soul shall such a servant be born
their presence resounding and unquestionable
only then shall the doubtful rebuking mournful souls begin to see a shed of light
light that shall signify the conclusion to our scarred and flawed existence.

All That I Know is in You and its All I Need
Why do you love me?
In my rejection of your mercy
In my lustful desires
And in my greed you wait for me
You tell me to come to my senses and I ask, why?
Why do you have such patience for me?
My arrogance tries to push you away
My ignorance attempts to create a gap between us
But somehow you always become a figure of strength by my
side
Now I ask how?
God in your love, an endless ocean I stand
Watching the moon you created with all its serenity
And I suddenly feel at peace.
Content to let go of all that I want
Willing to forsake all the dislikes and begrudging
emotions
Just to be in your light.
I turn from the moons quiet gaze
To watch the rising the sun which shuts out all other
light in its brilliance
Its power that you created to give brilliance upon all
lives that you created.
And I scream for joy
I am given the passion to pursue your glory and share
your wisdom
I’ve lost all fear
And god I slowly lose my questioning spirit
Praising you for all that I am worth
And simply wanting to live through you
As you live in me
I turn now to the stars that remain in the dawn
And I burst into tears of ecstasy
How can I be anywhere close to sad?
You saved me from myself
You saved from the devil
You saved me from sin
All that I know now is the core you have become in my
soul
All I need are the teachings that you have given me.
I am satisfied in you

Where to Compare With God
I saw the stars in dreams
I viewed the sun on a personal scale
and I awoke to a burning sensation
desire
I want to see god up close
to entertain a deities worth
then compare it to my own
forever is a definition of time
perception is times personal flow
but our god outside of time goes beyond forever
I flew with the red-winged black bird
to fall amongst mice in the shadows as prey
and I felt my heart fall behind me
I want to envision an immortals light
to try blocking its source
and get burned as the price
I want to test my luck
die by karma's smile
and rise in the broken ashes
black from creating the dark side of the moon
where I pulled out the famous mortal lights
asking where God was shining
I viewed the sun on a personal scale
and I awoke to a burning sensation
desire
I want to see god up close
to entertain a deities worth

The Two Great Sins
I am not sure why, I am not sure about Gods reasoning; but tonight I want to talk about what God has said to me over the course of today. God told me that as we struggle to know God our struggle in sin grows, even as our efforts and conviction to know and do what’s best for ourselves grows stronger. You may notice that something is missing, where is God’s effort, God’s conviction? That’s the problem, at some point and in some aspect of our lives we have traded Gods knowledge and conviction for what our own. We have turned to our own ideas and designs of desire and strength.
Our greatest sin of desire has been stated in the bible as lust or adultery; this is true beyond all comparisons I can possibly make. The bible says this “the body is for the lord and the lord is for the body…” (1 Corinthians Ch. 6) I don’t really know how others might interpret this but I have to say this verse is to be paired with the fact that we are made in God’s image. Though this is a pairing that none of us would normally come up with on our own because we focus too much on our own will; I even admit that without the pastor of my church this connection never would have occurred. Our will and desire to have pleasure and to be in love. When this desire is paired with God there is no problem; but when we take these desires with ourselves in mind we fall prey to our own demons as Satan proceeds to worsen our situation. Our bodies are for the lord and without the lord we are doomed to sin and corrupt the temple that are bodies are made to be for the lord our God.
Our greatest sin of strength is greed; and greed’s worst form is deception. Who has seen that one person on the street corner who is trying to imitate a homeless person and just doesn’t look the part; that one person who just has no clue what he is doing but is too lazy to take the opportunities that he could have if he simply worked and lived an honest life. Satan is always looking for weaknesses in our hearts hoping to create sin. Greed is a one of the greatest weaknesses and one of the easiest for Satan to exploit. In this weakness we forget God and his desire for us to know and do what is right. In the end we sometimes use deceit to gain what we want. To consider however that this is a constant happening in every person’s life cannot be said but it is true to say that at some point or another every person who has ever lived and does live has and will deceive and have greed in their hearts.
But despite all of our selfishness and shortcomings God has given us a second chance through Jesus. All Christians know that Jesus died on the cross for our sins but this is just the gift basket it’s what is inside which matters most, eternal life; the opportunity to stand in God’s presence, a god who is willing to help his children overcome their inability to live outside of sin. God loves us but we blind ourselves to that love with desire and thoughts of how to gain our own strength.

In Majesty You Saved
God oh God
By grace you sent your son
In mercy and love
You sent a savior
Through the streets of Rome
Your perfect son carried the cross
Holding sin and death upon his shoulders
And when death sealed Christ's lips
The curtain tore
You came to live amongst us
In arrogant anger
We helped you save us
In fear you showed us light
You lifted the veil of sin
Your children could finally see
Now we live in free choice
Enslaved by sin
Or enraptured by you
In worship, in praise
Giving ourselves up
Many make the choice
intent upon our hearts
Your glory has no bounds
It floods our lives
as your mercy clears our eyes
No idol, not any material gain
Nothing could fill the void but you
So i create the praises for you
The one who bridged the gap
Became sent the ultimate sacrifice
Through Jesus Christ our lord
By grace you sent your son
In mercy and love
You sent a savior
Through the streets of Rome
Your perfect son carried the cross
Holding sin and death upon his shoulders
And when death sealed Christ's lips

No More, I Wish to Live in Light
Grant satisfaction
Grant me grace, and courage
I feel as though
I have done nothing of consequence
I fear, I falter
I search to self preserve
Calling myself your child
I came because I lacked
I feared and strayed
I want to grow
Faith, courage
You lift me up when I have fallen
You forgive me when I confess wrong doing
You have succeeded in the impossible for mortal flesh to accomplish
You saved your people from damnation
I lived in self pity
I swam in selfish thoughts
wanting this wishing that
I left your path so many times
I dug so many holes
And you pulled me out every time
I gave my life to you
But i changed nothing
Did nothing but stay with your people
Now i say I'm starting to change
My desire is now to serve you
To grow and praise
And to speak your word
And so as you lead
I will follow you God
Grant me grace, and courage
I feel as though
I have done nothing of consequence
I fear, I falter
I search to self preserve
Calling myself your child
I came because I lacked
I feared and strayed
I want to grow

And to speak your word
And so as you lead
I will follow you God
Cleanse Me, and Train Me
Mercy God grant me mercy
I come before you on my knees
With regret in my heart
and ignorance in my soul
I plead for your mercy
I wish to follow the words
Live by faith and not by sight
For my eyes seem sworn against me
I open my heart unto you God
And I pray that it be washed clean
Because with a stubborn mind
I have no hope to succeed on my own
And break my mind as well Dear God
So the putrid rot may flow away
And fill the space with knowledge, and courage
To be who you designed
I found the break in Satan's mine field of temptation
I asked you to save me and you did
so now I ask to help me grow
And plead to change my life
No idol or false belief
Nor fear or doubt shall stop me
I know I'll falter
I know I'll doubt
But hold strong
I will hold strong in you
I come before you on my knees
With regret in my heart
and ignorance in my soul
I plead for your mercy
I wish to follow the words
Live by faith and not by sight
For my eyes seem sworn against me

Rob Bell : Drops Like Stars
This is something that I need to do for the first time right now. Write a book review.
The Book by Rob Bell Drops Like Stars has proven within the first thirty five pages to one of the most fantastic books that I have ever read. Using the unusual and obscure stories that some would never think to look at in their wildest dreams he weaves a narration that starts to totally decimate the ideas our society uses to conform in day to day life.
Rob starts with the Jesus' parable of the lost son Luke 15: 11-32 and the story goes something like this...
"Jesus told a story about a man who had two sons. The story begins with the younger son asking for his share of the inheritance, which in first century Jewish culture was a deeply offensive request, the equivalent to saying, dad I wish you were dead" (Bell 10). If anyone has read the bible then they might remember this parable. What was noticed by Rob that is the story ends unresolved; "he said to him, son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But it was appropriate to be glad and celebrate, for this, your brother, was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found again" (Luke 15:31-32).
This is the opening of a book which has captured a glimpse of what is wrong with society. "Jesus doesn't give the story the proper Hollywood ending we've all come to expect" (Bell 14-15). so why should people view the world has having that Hollywood ending that is so badly deserved sometimes. this is just the beginning of a book that captures the way that captures the fascination that everyone should have in Jesus.
the reader must find the rest out for themselves. I must refuse to tell the rest in fear of ruining the ideas that people should hear from the one who speaks them so well; Rob Bell.
